Enlightenment is a Sorceress-specific runeword in Diablo 2 Resurrected created with Pul + Ral + Sol in any 3-socket body armor. Available since Patch 1.11, it offers modest offensive capabilities with fire-based procs and the valuable +2 to Sorceress Skill Levels, making it a budget option for early-game Sorceresses.

Limited Utility

Enlightenment provides 5% chance to cast level 15 Blaze when struck and 5% chance to cast level 15 Fire Ball on striking, which can add minor area damage but requires getting hit or using melee attacks—neither ideal for Sorceresses. The +1 to Warmth skill offers a small boost to mana regeneration, providing approximately 30% increased mana regeneration at level 1, with each additional point adding 12%.

Why It Falls Short

The primary issue with Enlightenment is its lack of defensive stats beyond +30% enhanced defense, fire resist +30%, and damage reduced by 7. For a class that needs survivability more than melee-triggered procs, this makes it inferior to defensive alternatives like Stealth (for faster cast rate) or Smoke (for resistances). The fire-based offensive procs rarely justify the armor slot when Sorceresses deal damage more effectively with spells.

Best Uses

Enlightenment might serve as a temporary pre-buffing tool for characters who want access to Warmth without investing skill points, particularly for mana-hungry builds. However, even at its best, it's outclassed by numerous runewords that offer better defensive or offensive value for similar or lower rune costs.

Rune Availability

All three runes (Pul, Ral, Sol) are relatively accessible—Ral and Sol drop from Nightmare difficulty Countess, while Pul can be obtained from Hell Countess. Despite the low barrier to entry, the runeword sees minimal use in the meta due to superior alternatives.
