Concentration Over Fanaticism

Where Faith provides Fanaticism aura, Mist delivers level 8-12 Concentration Aura, granting between 165% and 225% enhanced damage depending on the roll. Combined with +325-375% Enhanced Damage and +3 to All Skills, the damage output becomes formidable. The guaranteed 100% Piercing Attack is particularly powerful for Multiple Shot and Strafe Amazons, ensuring every arrow can hit multiple targets.

Best Uses & Builds

Act 1 Rogue Mercenary

The most popular application for Mist is on Act 1 mercenaries, especially when paired with an Amazon using Faith. This combination stacks both Concentration and Fanaticism auras for devastating damage. Since Patch 2.4, Act 1 mercenaries benefit from Amazon-specific +skills on bows, making Mist in a Matriarchal Bow or Grand Matron Bow with +3 bow skills exceptionally powerful.

Physical Bowazons

Amazons can use Mist as their primary weapon when Faith is unavailable or when they want the piercing advantage. Multiple Shot and Strafe builds benefit most, as the guaranteed pierce ensures maximum screen coverage and damage. The +20% Increased Attack Speed helps reach attack speed breakpoints.

Budget Concentration Aura

For builds that want Concentration aura without making Pride for an Act 2 mercenary, Mist on an Act 1 mercenary provides a more affordable option, though at lower aura levels.

Faith vs Mist

The eternal debate: Faith provides higher attack rating through Ignore Target's Defense and Fanaticism's attack rating bonus, making it more reliable for hitting targets. Mist counters with guaranteed piercing and doesn't require sacrificing attack rating. For solo Amazons, Faith typically wins. For dual-aura setups with Act 1 mercenaries, Mist shines.

Rune Cost & Value

Cham makes this expensive, though it's more affordable than Faith which requires Jah. The other runes are mid-tier and easily farmable. The All Resistances +40 and Freeze Target provide defensive utility that missile weapon users desperately need since they can't use shields.
