Warlord's Trust is a unique Military Axe available at level 35 that emphasizes survivability and vitality over pure offensive power.

Defensive Focus

Warlord's Trust provides +175% Enhanced Damage for decent base damage, but its main appeal lies in defensive stats. The weapon grants +(0.5 per Character Level) to Vitality (up to 49 at level 99), Replenish Life +20, All Resistances +10, and +75 Defense. The Repairs 1 Durability in 4 Seconds essentially makes it self-repairing.

Survivability Over Damage

The vitality scaling and life regeneration make Warlord's Trust appealing for characters prioritizing survival during Nightmare difficulty. The all-resistance bonus adds further defensive value. However, as a two-handed weapon with modest Enhanced Damage and no attack speed or other offensive modifiers, it falls behind more damage-focused options. The defensive bonuses, while useful, don't compensate for the opportunity cost of using a better weapon or weapon-shield combination. Most players pass on this in favor of weapons that kill enemies faster, which is often the best defense.
