The Vile Husk is an exceptional unique Tusk Sword in Diablo 2 Resurrected designed specifically for fighting undead enemies. The Vile Husk features level-scaling bonuses against undead: +7.5% damage to undead per character level (reaching +742% at level 99) and +10 to attack rating against undead per character level (reaching +990). These bonuses transform the weapon into an undead-slaying powerhouse in areas like the Chaos Sanctuary, Worldstone Keep, or any zone populated by skeletons and zombies. The 6% chance to cast level 1 Decrepify on striking further weakens undead targets while slowing their attacks.

Poison & Defense

Against all enemy types, the sword provides +150-200% enhanced damage and +250 poison damage over 6 seconds, giving it utility beyond just undead. The +50% poison resistance offers valuable protection in poison-heavy areas like the Maggot Lair or against Andariel. The Tusk Sword base type has fast attack speed despite being two-handed, allowing for quick poison application.

Situational Excellence

This weapon shines from levels 44-60 in undead-focused areas, where its scaling damage bonuses make it vastly superior to general-purpose weapons.
