While situationally useful, it fills a narrow niche that most players skip entirely.
Barbarian-Specific Benefits
The Mastery boost improves damage for Sword, Axe, Mace, or Polearm Mastery builds, making attacks hit harder. Combined with 50% Open Wounds and 30% IAS, it provides decent combat performance. The 25% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items makes it viable for early magic finding runs in Act 1-2 Hell.
Limited Appeal
Most Barbarians at level 41 prefer weapons with higher raw damage or better utility. The Meat Scraper's enhanced damage range (+150-200%) is decent but not exceptional. Act 2 mercenaries can't use the Mastery bonus, making this weapon inferior to Insight or other options for them.
Use this from levels 41-55 only if you're a Barbarian who needs the Mastery levels. Otherwise, skip it entirely in favor of better exceptional weapons or wait for elite polearms.
