Skull Splitter is a unique Military Pick that provides decent offensive capability at level 21 with a mix of damage, utility, and mana regeneration.

Balanced Stats

Skull Splitter offers +60-100% Enhanced Damage, +50-100 to Attack Rating, and Adds 1-15 Lightning Damage for solid physical damage output. The 15% Chance of Open Wounds adds bleeding damage over time, while Hit Blinds Target occasionally disrupts enemy attacks. The Regenerate Mana 20% provides passive mana recovery, which is helpful for skill-dependent builds during Normal and early Nightmare.

Temporary Solution

The Military Pick base has faster attack speed than most axes, making Skull Splitter reasonably effective for its level range. However, by level 21-25, better options emerge through runewords like Strength or other unique weapons with more focused bonuses. The variable roll on Enhanced Damage and Attack Rating means finding a well-rolled version matters, but even perfect rolls won't keep this weapon relevant beyond mid-Nightmare difficulty.
