Despite having some useful stats, this sword lacks any compelling reason to use it over readily available alternatives.
Mediocre Stats
The Skewer provides Ignore Target's Defense, which guarantees hits regardless of enemy defense values. Combined with +10 to Dexterity and +10 to Strength, this addresses accuracy concerns while providing minor attribute bonuses for equipment requirements.
The 7% Mana Stolen Per Hit offers value for mana-hungry melee builds, particularly characters using skills like Zeal or Double Swing. The +50% Enhanced Damage and Adds 3-7 Damage deliver acceptable but unremarkable offensive power for level 10.
Why Nobody Uses It
The fundamental problem with Skewer of Krintiz is that it doesn't excel at anything. The damage is mediocre, the special modifiers are underwhelming, and it has zero variable stats to make individual finds interesting. Every Skewer of Krintiz is identical, and every one is equally forgettable.
By level 10, players typically have access to better rares, can craft Steel runeword for superior damage, or simply continue using whatever they found earlier. The Sabre base provides fast -10 weapon speed, but this advantage doesn't compensate for the lackluster overall package.
Immediate Replacement
Even players who find Skewer of Krintiz early rarely keep it equipped for long. The level 10 requirement means it arrives too late to be an early-game staple, yet it's too weak to compete with mid-game options. Most players vendor it immediately or ignore it entirely.
The weapon can technically be upgraded to Shamshir and eventually Elegant Blade, but investing upgrade materials in such a mediocre item makes no practical sense. As one community member bluntly stated: Skewer of Krintiz is why Holy Grail collectors appreciate having inventory management challenges.
