Pompeii's Wrath is a unique Crowbill at level 45 that specializes in fire damage and crowd control, featuring the ability to cast Volcano for area damage.

Volcanic Power

Pompeii's Wrath delivers +140-170% Enhanced Damage and Adds 35-150 Fire Damage for substantial elemental damage. The signature feature is 4% Chance to Cast Level 8 Volcano on Striking, creating damaging volcanic eruptions that hit multiple enemies. Additional utility includes Slows Target by 50% and Knockback for crowd control. The Crowbill base provides faster attack speed than most axes.

Fire-Focused Midgame

The fire damage and Volcano proc make Pompeii's Wrath effective in Nightmare difficulty, particularly against groups of enemies. The slow and knockback help keep enemies at bay while you deal damage. However, fire immunities become common in Hell difficulty, severely limiting the weapon's effectiveness. The Volcano proc rate is also quite low at 4%, making it unreliable for consistent area damage. By level 50-60, most players transition to weapons with more consistent damage or better utility for Hell difficulty.
