Langer Briser is a unique Arbalest in Diablo 2 Resurrected that stands out among exceptional crossbows for its versatility. This level 32 weapon combines strong lightning damage, defensive utility, and a rare magic find bonus in a single package.

Offensive Capabilities

Langer Briser delivers +170-200% Enhanced Damage, +10-30 to Maximum Damage, and Adds 1-212 Lightning Damage—a massive elemental range that helps against physical immunes. The 33% Chance of Open Wounds provides excellent crowd control and damage over time, especially effective against Act Bosses and the Uber Diablo clone.

Defense & Utility

The built-in Knockback keeps enemies at bay, while +30 to Life adds survivability. Most notably, Langer Briser includes 30-60% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items, making it one of the few bows with magic find—useful for farming in Nightmare difficulty.

Upgrade Value

When upgraded to a Pellet Bow (elite base), Langer Briser's damage scales remarkably well with only moderate strength requirement increases. While runewords like Harmony and Melody eventually outclass it, this crossbow serves as an effective weapon from level 32 through early Hell difficulty.
