Lance of Yaggai

Lance of Yaggai is a unique Spetum in Diablo 2 Resurrected providing lightning damage and all-around resistances. This normal-tier weapon serves as a defensive option for characters and mercenaries in their early twenties seeking elemental protection alongside offense.

Defensive Lightning Weapon

The weapon's defining feature is All Resistances +15, providing valuable protection against all elemental damage types early in the game. It adds 1-60 Lightning Damage, offering wide damage variance with occasional high hits. The 40% Increased Attack Speed improves attack frequency, while Attacker Takes Damage of 8 provides minor reflect damage. This combination makes it particularly useful against elemental-heavy areas in Acts 2-3.

Transitional Role

Available at level 22, Lance of Yaggai works best through late Normal difficulty, roughly levels 22-30. The resistance bonus remains valuable even as damage becomes less impressive. However, by Nightmare difficulty, the lack of enhanced damage and low base damage make it unsuitable for continued use. Exceptional and elite spears, or basic runewords with better damage scaling, will quickly replace it as a primary weapon.
