Kuko Shakaku features +150-180% Enhanced Damage, Fires Explosive Arrows [Level 7], Piercing Attack (50), and Adds 40-180 Fire Damage. It grants +3 to Bow and Crossbow Skills (Amazon Only) and +3 to Immolation Arrow (Amazon Only). The name translates from Japanese as "goji berry" and "angle of fire."

Explosive Arrow Mechanics

The explosive arrows proc on normal attacks without consuming mana, essentially giving you a free level 7 Exploding Arrow skill. All fire damage from the bow gets added to the explosion, creating massive area damage. The 40-180 fire damage combines with the explosion for devastating results against grouped enemies.

Upgrade Potential

Upgrading Kuko Shakaku to Shadow Bow through the Horadric Cube dramatically increases base damage while actually lowering the Strength requirement from 53 to 52. The upgraded version remains viable in Hell difficulty, especially when socketed with increased attack speed jewels or runes.
