Humongous

Humongous is a level 29 unique Giant Axe that lives up to its name with massive Strength bonuses and Crushing Blow, though it has a peculiar drawback.

Raw Power

Humongous delivers powerful stats with +80-120% Enhanced Damage, 33% Chance of Crushing Blow, +20-30 to Strength, and Adds 8-25 Damage. The Crushing Blow is particularly valuable against bosses, removing a percentage of their health with each hit. The substantial Strength bonus helps meet equipment requirements and boosts damage output significantly.

The Requirements Paradox

The weapon's unique downside is Requirements +20%, which increases the base Strength requirement from 70 to 84—somewhat ironic given its name and purpose. Despite this quirk, the Strength bonus more than compensates. However, by level 29, most players have access to better weapons through runewords or are preparing for Nightmare difficulty where Humongous's damage becomes inadequate. The two-handed requirement also prevents shield use. Consider upgrading it via cube recipes for improved damage if you plan to use it longer.
