Combat Performance
Hellcast deals +70-80% Enhanced Damage plus 15-35 Fire Damage with every shot creating explosive splash damage. The 20% Increased Attack Speed helps offset the Heavy Crossbow's naturally slow base speed. Fire-focused characters benefit from +15% Fire Resistance and +15% to Max Fire Resistance, plus +70 to Attack Rating.
Comparison & Limitations
Unlike its elite cousin Hellrack, Hellcast lacks Piercing Attack, which limits its explosive damage potential significantly. The weapon serves adequately through Nightmare difficulty but struggles in Hell without substantial supporting gear. Most ranged builds replace it once better options become available.
