Goldskin is a unique full plate mail in Diablo 2 Resurrected designed for gold farming. Available at level 28, this armor provides 100% Extra Gold from Monsters alongside strong resistances, making it the only unique armor specializing in magic find's gold-farming counterpart.

Gold Finding Specialist

Goldskin doubles gold drops with 100% Extra Gold from Monsters, valuable for players saving gold for gambling or high-cost purchases. The +35 to All Resistances provides excellent elemental defense for its level, helping characters maintain resistance caps through Normal and into Nightmare difficulty. The +120-150% Enhanced Defense yields solid protection (356-405 defense), while Attacker Takes Damage of 10 adds minor enemy punishment.

Niche Application

The armor fills a specific farming niche but competes with more versatile options. For general progression, Stealth or Smoke runewords provide better overall utility. The gold find modifier becomes more valuable when gambling for specific items, though Wealth runeword eventually offers superior gold find percentage. The 80 strength requirement and heavy armor classification impose stamina and speed penalties. Goldskin can be upgraded to Chaos Armor and Shadow Plate for substantially higher defense while maintaining all properties. The exceptional upgrade is particularly worthwhile for characters committed to gold farming. However, most players prioritize magic find over gold find for endgame farming, as unique and rare items provide greater long-term value than gambling opportunities.
