Deathbit is an exceptional unique Battle Dart (throwing knife) that serves as a solid mid-game option for throwing weapon builds in Diablo 2 Resurrected. With its 40% Deadly Strike chance and dual leech properties, this level 44 weapon provides respectable damage output for characters transitioning into Nightmare difficulty.

Core Strengths

Deathbit's main appeal lies in its synergy of offensive modifiers. The 40% Deadly Strike effectively doubles your damage output on nearly half of your throws, while +130-180% Enhanced Damage and +200-450 to Attack Rating ensure consistent hits. The combination of 7-9% Life Stolen Per Hit and 4-6% Mana Stolen Per Hit provides excellent sustain for extended combat.

Best Uses & Build Fit

Throw Barbarians are the primary users of Deathbit, especially during Nightmare difficulty. The weapon works well with Double Throw or Throwing Mastery builds as they level toward endgame gear. While not as powerful as elite throwing weapons, Deathbit's automatic replenishment (restoring 1 knife every 4 seconds) makes it maintenance-free and cost-effective.

When to Replace

Deathbit functions as a stepping stone weapon. Most players upgrade to Warshrike or Lacerator once they reach Hell difficulty and level 75+. The main limitation is its base damage—exceptional tier Battle Darts simply can't compete with elite throwing weapons in late-game content. However, an ethereal Deathbit with high rolls can remain viable into early Hell if you're on a budget.
