Maximum Resistance Focus

Darkglow's defining feature is +5% to Maximum Poison, Cold, Lightning, and Fire Resist, allowing characters to push beyond the standard 75% resistance cap. Combined with +10 to All Resistances, it provides substantial elemental protection for early gameplay. The +70-100% Enhanced Defense offers variable defense scaling, while +50 Defense vs. Melee adds situational physical protection. The +20 to Attack Rating provides minor offensive utility.

Practical Applications

This armor excels when facing heavy elemental damage encounters in Normal difficulty, though most characters reach level 14 after the toughest elemental bosses. It's occasionally useful for mercenaries progressing through early acts. The maximum resistance bonus becomes more valuable in Nightmare difficulty, making an upgraded version potentially worthwhile. Darkglow can be upgraded to Linked Mail and Diamond Mail, with the elite version offering substantial defense while maintaining the resistance bonuses.
