Speed & Bleed Combination

Crow Caw delivers 15% Increased Attack Speed from an armor slot, helping melee builds reach critical IAS breakpoints without weapon compromises. The 35% Chance of Open Wounds applies bleed damage that excels against high-HP targets and bosses, including Uber bosses where the physical damage reduction doesn't affect open wounds. The 15% Faster Hit Recovery helps reach FHR breakpoints, while +15 to Dexterity provides accuracy and blocking. The +150-180% Enhanced Defense offers solid protection (477-534 defense) for the 86 strength requirement.

Runeword Competition

Crow Caw competes directly with Duress runeword, which provides 40% faster hit recovery, crushing blow, and enhanced damage alongside open wounds. Duress typically wins this comparison due to superior offensive stats and easier acquisition. However, Crow Caw's IAS makes it valuable for builds requiring specific attack speed breakpoints where Duress's crushing blow doesn't justify losing the speed.
