Buriza-Do Kyanon

Buriza-Do Kyanon, often called the "Burrito Cannon," is a legendary unique Ballista in Diablo 2 Resurrected and arguably the best mid-tier crossbow in the game. This weapon's combination of massive damage, perfect piercing, and crowd control makes it a premier choice for physical Bowazons well into Hell difficulty.

Exceptional Damage Output

Buriza boasts +150-200% Enhanced Damage plus a scaling +2.5 Maximum Damage per Character Level (up to +247 at level 99). This gives it higher on-paper physical damage than nearly any bow except Windforce. The weapon adds 32-196 Cold Damage over 8 seconds and Freezes Target +3, providing unmatched crowd control that shatters enemies and slows Hell difficulty monsters.

Perfect Piercing

The 100% Piercing Attack means every bolt passes through all targets, eliminating the need for Pierce skill investment or gear. This synergizes perfectly with Strafe and Multishot, hitting multiple enemies per shot. Combined with +80% Increased Attack Speed, Buriza reaches excellent breakpoints with minimal additional IAS gear.

Build Applications

Buriza excels on physical Bowazons using Strafe or Multishot, shapeshifting Werewolf Druids who can overcome the slow base speed, and even Holy Fire Paladins leveraging the fast attack speed. The +35 to Dexterity and +75-150 Defense add survivability. When upgraded to a Colossus Crossbow, base damage increases further (though strength requirement jumps to 163).

Endgame Viability

While Faith and Windforce eventually surpass it in endgame optimization, an upgraded Buriza serves as an excellent budget alternative that handles Hell difficulty content effectively. The freeze and shatter effects remain valuable throughout all difficulty levels. This weapon's legendary status extends beyond Diablo—it inspired the Daedalus item in the original Dota mod, cementing its place in gaming history.
