The signature feature is +0-61 Absorb Cold Damage (Based On Character Level), calculated as 0.625 per character level. At level 99, this grants 61% cold absorption, potentially the highest cold absorb of any single item in the game. Cold absorption doesn't just resist cold damage—it converts it into healing, making you nearly immune to cold attacks. The shield also provides Half Freeze Duration, reducing time spent frozen, though you'll still want Cannot Be Frozen from items like Raven Frost for complete immunity.
