Biggin's Bonnet
Cap
Defense: 17-19Required Level: 3Durability: 12+30% Enhanced Damage+14 Defense+30 to Attack Rating+15 to Mana+15 to LifeBiggin's Bonnet represents the lowest tier of unique helmets in Diablo 2 Resurrected, offering minimal benefits for characters progressing through early Normal difficulty. While wearable at level 3, the bonuses rarely justify using this over aSocketed helm with useful runes.
Early Leveling Stats
Biggin's provides +30% Enhanced Damage, +30 Attack Rating, +15 Life, and +15 Mana. For a level 3-15 character, these bonuses offer modest help, particularly the enhanced damage for physical attackers. However, the stats scale poorly—by level 15 when Tarnhelm becomes available, Biggin's advantages evaporate completely.
Replacement Priority
The cap has zero resistances, no skill bonuses, and negligible defense. Most characters replace Biggin's Bonnet within an hour of finding it, either with Tarnhelm, magic circlets with resistances, or runewords like Nadir (which at least provides defense and cloak of shadows charges). The enhanced damage doesn't compensate for lacking everything else helmets typically provide.
Throwaway Status
Trade value is nonexistent. Biggin's Bonnet serves only as temporary leveling gear during the first few acts of Normal difficulty—used briefly if found, replaced immediately when anything better appears, then forgotten entirely.
