Bartuc's Cut-Throat is an exceptional unique Greater Talons in Diablo 2 Resurrected and a popular choice for Martial Arts Assassins. Available at level 42, this katar offers exceptional physical damage and has become significantly more valuable following the Patch 2.4 Martial Arts improvements.

Physical Damage Powerhouse

The weapon provides +150-200% Enhanced Damage, Adds 25-50 Damage, and 5-9% Life Stolen per Hit for strong physical offense. The +2 to Assassin Skill Levels and +1 to Martial Arts Skills boost all combat abilities, while +20 to Strength and +20 to Dexterity help meet gear requirements and increase damage. The 30% Faster Hit Recovery provides crucial survivability, and the 20% Bonus to Attack Rating ensures reliable hits. As a Greater Talons base with -30 weapon speed modifier, it's one of the fastest katar types available.

Martial Arts Renaissance

Bartuc's Cut-Throat gained significant popularity after Patch 2.4 reworked Martial Arts skills, making physical Assassin builds viable. Players often dual-wield two Bartuc's for maximum damage, or pair one with Jade Talon for additional resistances and mana leech. The low strength and dexterity requirements (79/79) make it accessible earlier than many elite katars. Budget-friendly and effective for Tiger Strike, Dragon Tail, and Phoenix Strike builds through Nightmare and into Hell difficulty. Eventually replaced by rare crafted claws with +skills to specific Martial Arts abilities, or Chaos runeword for endgame optimization, but remains an excellent mid-tier option that's easy to obtain.
